In a rain-shortened game the Pioniers beat ADO 3-2 after Linoy Croes drove in Norbert Lokhorst with a RBI double in the fourth. Kinheim needed a RBI single by Jason Halman in the top of the ninth to beat HCAW 5-4. Mr. Cocker used a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh to even the score. Corendon had led since scoring three runs in the fourth. Rafael Jozefa scored twice for the guests from Haarlem. Williams Vasquez, who has joined his Venezuelan national teammate Dirimo Chavez in Bussum, went 2-for-2 with two walks. Nick Stuifbergen received the win in relief of solid starter Duko Jansen. Kyle Ward took the loss despite pitching five strong innings of relief.

Leon Boyd (W) struck out nine batters in seven scoreless innings to lead DOOR Neptunus to a 4-1 win on Saturday afternoon against L&D Amsterdam. He allowed just two hits and a walk. The offense scored four single runs between the third and the sixth to provide the necessary run support. The Pirates only were able to avoid the shutout, when Michael Kramer crossed the plate in the ninth. Rob Cordemans (L) was charged with the loss after three innings, three hits, a run and a walk.

In the evening game on Saturday in the Dutch Hoofdklasse, Sparta/Feyenoord used a seven-run ninth to turn a victory in Almere into a blowout, winning by a final score of 14-3. Jose Ventura went drove in four, while Kevin van Nederpelt and Sape Wagenaar scored three times each. Churandy la Cruz hit a solo homerun for the Magpies.
