Corendon Kinheim overcame a 2-6-deficit en route to a 7-6 win over L&D Amsterdam on Monday afternoon in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. With the victory they completed the three-game sweep in the series, in which they won each match with a just one run difference. Jason Halman had the game-winner with a two-run homerun in the bottom of the seventh. A RBI single by Rodney Michel and a two-run double by Rene Cremer had cut the gap to a single run in the sixth. The Pirates took the lead with a pair of three-run frames. Amsterdam’s Sidney de Jong went 4-for-5 with two doubles and three RBI. Nick Veltkamp picked up the win with three scoreless innings of relief. Frank van Heijst took the loss.

DOOR Neptunus pitching dominated also the third game of the series against ADO, as they completed the sweep with an 11-0 win. It was their third shutout in a row. Diegomar Markwell (W) allowed just one hit and a walk in seven innings. Jorian van Acker completed the two-hitter with a scoreless eighth. Martijn Meeuwis, Dwayne Kemp (4-4, 4 runs) and Danny Rombley (3-4, 3 RBI) had triples. Jeffrey Arends and Jeroen Sluijter combined for four RBI. Frans Richardson (L) issued five hits, two runs and two bb in four innings.
Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam – Mr. Cocker HCAW 7-8

Mr. Cocker HCAW scored three runs in the ninth to win game three of their series 8-7 against Sparta/Feyenoord. They loaded the bases and a pair of hit batters and a RBI fielder’s choice pushed the decisive runs over the plate. Rotterdam had taken the lead with six combined runs in the sixth and seventh. Adrian Anthony drove in three for HCAW, Nick Eppinga for Sparta/Feyenoord. Roger Luque (HCA) made his debut in the Hoofdklasse and issued eight hits, four runs and a walk in six innings. Tim Roodenburg (SPA) gave up six hits, five runs (3 ER) and two bb in five innings. Robin van Eis (W) got the win, Berry Donselaar (L) took the loss.
Almere Magpies – Konica Minolta Pioniers 1-15 (7)

The Pioniers crushed the Magpies 15-1 in seven innings. Jakub Malik and Lennart Koster went a combined 7-for-9 with a triple, two doubles, six runs scored and five RBI. Shane Gnade (PIO) allowed just two hits and two walks in four innings. Arshwin Asjes (W) picked up the win with four Ks in two perfect frames. Dennis Burgersdijk (L) surrendered eight hits, eight runs (2 ER) and two bb in two-plus innings.
