Mr. Cocker HCAW crushed ADO 12-2 in their series opener in the Dutch Hoofdklasse on Thursday evening. Juan Gonzalez collected three hits and three RBI. Mitchel Koot drove in three with a triple. Nine different players of HCAW crossed the plate for a run. Kevin Miner (W) went the distance, issuing four hits, two runs (1 ER) and a walk in eight innings. Jurandy Girigori (L) gave up five hits, six runs (5 ER) and a whopping ten bb in six innings.

Corendon Kinheim overcame a 0-3 deficit by scoring four runs in the bottom of the second en route to a 5-3 win over Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam. Bryan Engelhardt later added a solo homerun. Rafael Jozefa had highlighted the big rally with two-run double. Ramiro Balentina had three hits and a RBI for Rotterdam. David Bergman (W) struck out nine in 7 1/3 innings, allowing eight hits, three runs and two bb. Ruderly Manuel (L) was charged with five hits, five runs and five walks in eight innings. He also struck out five.
L&D Amsterdam Pirates – UVV 11-1 (7)

L&D Amsterdam needed just seven innings to beat UVV 11-1. The Pirates scored three runs apiece in the fourth, sixth and seventh. Sidney and Bas de Jong went a combined 7-for-8 with seven RBI. Roeland Henrique Jr., Rashid Gerard and Vince Rooi each scored three runs. Rob Cordemans (W) allowed just one hit and a walk in six scoreless innings. Timo van Ancum (L) was charged with five hits, four runs and five bb in 3 2/3 innings.
DOOR Neptunus – Vaessen Pioniers 6-0

Despite managing eleven hits, the Vaessen Pioniers got shut out 0-6 by DOOR Neptunus on Thursday. Diegomar Markwell (W), Craig Anderson and Arshwin Asjes pitched in and out of trouble to keep the team from Hoofddorp off the board. Jeffrey Arends led the offense with two RBI. Conrad Orman (L) conceded seven hits, five runs (4 ER) and a walk in six innings.
