Emmanuel Ulloa led GODO to a 3-2 win over GROSSETO. He struck out eleven in a complete game, allowing just two unearned runs on two hits and three walks. He had a no-hitter going for the first six innings, before Luca Bischeri ended the bid with a one-out single in the seventh. Felix Escalona delivered the necessary run support in the eighth with a three-run homerun. MONTEPASCHI tried to answer and rallied for two runs on a triple by Gabriele Ermini in the ninth. But with the tying run on third, Andrea Sgnaolin struck out on six pitches. Juan Figueroa (GRO) struck out seven in seven scoreless innings, giving up six hits and a walk. James Vermilyea took the loss.

After both teams exchanged two runs in the first three innings, SAN MARINO took a 5-2 lead in the top of the fourth. RIMINI answered with two-run single Lorenzo Avagnina in the seventh. But it was the last time either would score and the IBL champion prevailed 5-4. Seth LaFera, Martin Vazquez, Randolph Kirindongo and Riccardo Suardi got RBIs for T&A. Tiago Da Silva picked up nine K’s in 5 1/3 solid innings for the win. Buddy Bengel only lasted 3 2/3 innings on the mound, taking the loss. Chris Di Roma replaced him and struck out nine in 5 1/3 innings of no-hit, two-walk relief.

NETTUNO crushed CARIPARMA 12-3 on Friday evening. They scored three runs apiece in the second and fourth and doubled the run total with a six-run rally in the seventh. Manny Alexander and Renato Imperiali each drove in three. Abraham Nunez and Dewis Navarro picked up two RBIs each. Jeffrey Farnsworth pitched 4 1/3 innings to start for DANESI. Remigio Leal relieved him and earned the win. Riccardo Palma gave up six hits, six runs (4 ER) and three bb in three-plus innings for the loss.

BOLOGNA scored four runs in the first en route to a 7-0 shutout over REGGIO EMILIA. Juan Angrisano led his team with two RBI. Matthew Stocco and Juan Carlos Infante each scored twice. Yulman Ribeiro picked up the win with seven scoreless innings, conceding just four hits and two bb. Conrad Orman gave up five hits, five runs and four walks in four innings.
