Game 1:

Sant Boi used two big innings in game one in Pamplona to win 13-1, as the Spanish Division de Honor started into the second half of the season. Marc Carrillo and Jose Luis Salazar went a combined 5-for-8 with four runs scored and six RBI. Daniel Sanchez and Juan Salazar picked up two RBI each. Junior Guerra (W 6-0) allowed four hits, a run and a walk in five innings. He struck out seven. Marcos Castillo (L 1-9) issued 15 hits, eight runs (6 ER) and a bb in seven innings.
Game 2:

Jose Luis Riera hit two homeruns, including a grand slam, and drove in seven as Sant Boi also won game two in Pamplona in dominant fashion. Daniel Martinez scored three times and got three RBI. Jose Estebin Cruz (W 5-1) struck out ten in five wild innings, as he allowed one run on five hits and seven walks. Juan Redin (L 2-6) surrendered eleven hits, nine runs and six bb in five innings.
El Llano – Astros Valencia 3-20 (8), 4-3
Game 1:

The Astros used ten runs in the eighth to turn a victory in Gijon into a blowout in part one of their doubleheader against El Llano. Pedro Mendez doubled twice, crossed the plate four times and drove in two. Sandel Cuevas and John Scott Dunn scored a combined six times. Dunn (W 5-5) also got the win on the mound, giving up seven hits, three runs (1 ER) and a walk in eight innings. He struck out 13. Elvis Polanco (L 0-3) allowed eight hits, five runs (4 ER) and two bb in six innings, striking out seven.
Game 2:

The long wait for El Llano is over. In game two against Valencia they prevailed 4-3 and celebrated their first win of the season. After the Astros took a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth, as Sandel Cuevas scored on an error, El Llano came back in the bottom of the frame. They loaded the bases and another walk to Elvis Polanco forced in the tying run. With two outs Yasiel Pino stole home to score the winning run. Carlos Lopez (W 1-1) gave up seven hits, three runs (2 ER) and four bb in 8 2/3 innings. Jordi Valles (L 3-5) allowed six hits, four runs and six walks in eight innings.
CB Viladecans – Baseball Navarra 0-4, 1-2
Game 1:

Juan Jose Lopez (W 6-3) allowed just two hits and a walk in six scoreless innings to lead Navarra to a 4-0 shutout in Viladecans. He struck out nine. Hector Perozo completed the three-hitter with four Ks in the remaining three frames. Larry Infante scored two of the four runs. Marc Jodar (L 1-1) conceded three hits, three runs and four bb in four innings.
Game 2:

In the second game Navarra Larry Infante (3-4, 2 runs) scored the game-winner in the top of the eighth on a wild pitch, as they prevailed 2-1 against CB. David Porcar went 3-for-3 with a double for Viladecans. Juan Miguel Marte (NAV) started and allowed five hits, a run and three bb in six innings. Andres Casado (W 4-2) picked up the win in relief. Pol Llopis (VIL) gave up four hits, a run and three walks in seven innings on the opposing side. He struck out seven. Jose Martin (L 0-2) took the loss.
The other two doubleheaders this weekend in Spain got postponed due to fact that the Tenerife Marlins and Halcones de Vigo couldn’t travel to Bilbao, respective Barcelona because of the volcano ash clouds.
