DOOR Neptunus’ Australian starter Dushan Ruzic (W) pitched a seven-inning no-hitter on Friday afternoon in the Dutch Hoofdklasse against the Almere Magpies. He issued just a pair of walks in the sixth during his outing, while striking out six batters. The offense supported him with plenty of runs, ending the contest early due to ten-run rule in the 11-0 shutout. Eugene Kingsale reached base four times, scored thrice and drove in two. Benjamin Dille went 3-for-4 with a homerun, a double, three runs and two RBI. Dwayne Kemp doubled twice and collected three RBI. Justin Prinstein (L) took the loss after three innings, five hits, four runs (3 ER) and four bb.
Mr. Cocker HCAW – L&D Amsterdam Pirates 0-8

Rob Cordemans (3 IP) and Frank van Heijst (6 IP, W) combined to allow just three hits and a walk to lead L&D Amsterdam to an 8-0 shutout over Mr. Cocker HCAW. Bas de Jong led the offense with a homerun, a double and four RBI. Sidney de Jong crossed the plate three times. Kevin Roovers (L) surrendered ten hits, seven runs and a bb in five innings.
Konica Minolta Pioniers – Corendon Kinheim 1-3

Kinheim won game one of their series against the Pioniers by a score of 3-1 in Hoofddorp. A sac fly by Rodney Michel in the fourth tied the contest after Konica Minolta had taken an early lead with a RBI double by Jakub Malik. Corendon decided the outcome in the fifth, when Bryan Engelhardt and Tjerk Smeets pushed two runs over the plate with a RBI single and another sac fly. David Bergman (W) gave up just one run on five hits in eight innings. He struck out seven. Jurjen van Zijl (L) allowed nine hits, three runs and two bb in also eight innings.
Sparta/Feyenoord – ADO 0-6

Bobby Carrington (W) and two relievers led ADO to a 6-0 win in Rotterdam. He allowed just one hit in the third and two walks in six scoreless innings. Martijn Riphagen and Matt Ryan completed the one-hit shutout with perfect frames seventh to ninth. The offense blew the game wide open with five runs in the sixth. Boudewijn van Elswijk went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI. Frans Richardson drove in two. Jose Ventura (L) struck out eight in five-plus innings, but also conceded six hits, three runs and two bb for the loss.
