DOOR Neptunus took down UVV 9-1 in a make-up game on Monday evening. Six runs in the first two innings decided things early. Raily Legito hit a three-run homerun during a four-run rally in the second. Mike Bazuin went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI overall. Kevin van Veen (W) issued just eight hits and a walk in eight scoreless innings. Jurjen van Zijl (L) conceded eight hits, seven runs (6 ER) and three bb in four innings.
League play in the Dutch Hoofdklasse continues tonight with four more make-up games. The regular schedule resumes on Thursday.
