One day after Dushan Ruzic no-hit the Magpies in seven innings, DOOR Neptunus’ pitching allowed just one hit on Saturday in a 7-0 shutout. It was their tenth win in as many Dutch Hoofdklasse games this season. Leon Boyd (W) dominated in his first start this year, allowing just a leadoff single in the seventh and three walks in 7 1/3 scoreless innings. He struck out eleven. Jorian van Acker and Berry van Driel completed the one-hitter.
Neptunus scored all of its runs between the fourth and the sixth, led by Raily Legito and Martijn Meeuwis, who drove in two apiece. Jeffrey Arends scored twice. Sten van den Bedem (L) took the loss after giving up seven hits and four runs in 4 1/3 innings.
L&D Amsterdam Pirates – Mr. Cocker HCAW 5-6 (11)

Mr. Cocker HCAW stunned the Pirates on Saturday afternoon with a 6-5 win after eleven innings in the Hoofdklasse. A sac fly by Dirimo Chavez pushed the winning run over the plate in the second extra inning. L&D Amsterdam had forced extra innings with a two-out bases loaded walk by Rashid Gerard in the ninth. Joran Klarenbeek (W) picked up the win in relief, while Pim Walsma (L) took the loss. Starters Kevin Miner (HCA) and Jos de Jong (AMS) allowed four runs each.
Corendon Kinheim – Konica Minolta Pioniers 6-2

Corendon Kinheim also won game two of the series against Konica Minolta Pioniers, as they prevailed 6-2 after scoring all six runs in the first three frames. Bryan Engelhardt capped the early rally with a three-run homerun in the third. Duko Jansen (W) did his job on the mound and conceded just one unearned run on three hits and three walks in six innings. Eddie Aucoin (L) settled in after the tough beginning and pitched through six innings too. He issued seven hits, six runs (4 ER) and three bb.
ADO – Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam 6-9

Sparta/Feyenoord erased a 3-6 deficit en route to a 9-6 win thanks to a six-run rally in the top of the ninth. Sape Wagenaar (4 RBI) had the big game-winning hit with a three-run triple. Jose Ventura and Ramiro Balentina combined for six hits and four runs. Frans Richardson drove in two for ADO. Starting pitchers Gregory Gustina (SPA) and Ludwin Obispo (ADO) pitched 6 2/3 solid innings before the bullpens decided the battle. Rudy Seebus (W) received the win, Matt Ryan (L) the loss.
The Sunday games in the Dutch Hoofdklasse got postponed due to rain and were rescheduled after a little back and forth to Monday evening.
