Mannheim Tornados – Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg 0-9
The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg didn’t show any post European Cup blues, shutting out the Mannheim Tornados 9-0 on Friday evening in the German Baseball-Bundesliga. Harry Glynne pitched seven scoreless eight-hit innings in his Bundesliga debut. He struck out ten to pick up the win. 68 of his 93 pitches were strikes. Regensburg’s offense only needed six hits to score nine runs, taking advantage of ten free passes and four Tornados errors. Ludwig Glaser and Evan LeBlanc had two hits apiece. Chris Howard scored twice. Lukas Egetmeyer collected four hits for Mannheim. Philipp Hoehlein, who received a rare game-one start, took the loss after 3 2/3 innings. Jan-Niclas Stoecklin and Jordan Dyer didn’t fare any better after him.
