KVINT from Tiraspol won the Moldavian Baseball Championship in 2008, thanks to a 9-1 record. IASTREBY and BIVOL received the silver, respective bronze medals. 101 players on six teams with an average age of 20 years played 30 games on three fields to crown the national champion. Vitalii Burlac of IASTREBY received honors as the Most Valuable Player. Ilia Novac of BIVOL not only was named Best Pitcher, but also had the most RBIs in the league. Oleg Covalenco secured the Best Batter trophy.
