Pavol Teslik (W) dominated on the mound to lead Slovan Bratislava to a 4-0 shutout over the Espoo Expos. He struck out 15 in nine scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and four walks. Pertteli Salmenpera (L) took the loss, issuing nine hits, four runs and five bb in six innings.

Technika Brno crushed host Athletics Attnang-Puchheim with a 14-3 win in seven innings. Eight runs in the third decided the outcome early. J. Marek, M. Lawman and M. Zelinka hit homeruns and combined for six RBI. Roger Deago (W) struck out seven in six innings for the win. Josh Castanza took the loss.
