Before Wednesday’s game between the BERN CARDINALS and the UNION KUFSTEIN VIKINGS (13-3), the Austrians protested the eligibility of the three CARDS pitchers Stefan Koller, Jeff Mottl and Benjamin Montag.
The technical commission of the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) rejected the protest on Thursday and the Swiss champion stays undefeated in the European Cup Qualifier in Brno, Czech Republic.
Today the CARDINALS defeated KRANJSKI LISJAKI 8-4 and advanced into the finals on Saturday, before their final preliminary round match on Friday against ZAGREB BC.
