For me it has to be “Bang The Drum Slowly” A wonderful heart wrenching 1973 movie with Robert DeNiro and Michael Moriarty. Done many years ago it is still one of my favorite movies of all time. Revolving around a washed up catcher (DeNiro) who comes down with Hodgkin’s disease and rooms with the teams star pitcher (Moriarty) The movie combines humor with heartwrenching drama. It’s reported to be Al Pacino’s favorite film. I just found that out and consider myself in GREAT company. If you have never seen it make sure you do. It’s just a wonderful film.
