John Fitzgerald, who produced and directed the Irish Baseball Movie, has created a new website for International Baseball fans, called Planet Hardball. He is looking for players, coaches and league officials to do podcast interviews.

My name is John Fitzgerald. I am an independent TV/film producer – most of my projects have focused on independent and amateur baseball (see below for details). Beginning in January 2010, I will be creating a new website for independent, amateur and international baseball fans, called “Planet Hardball.” The purpose of “Planet Hardball” is to give fans a place where they can find the latest news, podcast interviews, photos and links to baseball teams and leagues that interest them.

I will be interviewing players, coaches and league officials for the Planet Hardball podcast. If you or someone you know would like to be interviewed, please contact me at playingforpeanuts@gmail.com.

The interview will only take 15 minutes and it would focus on league history, current events in the league and the challenges involved with running the league.

The interview would be cross-posted on PlanetHardball.com and my mailing list of several thousand baseball fans who have seen my documentary and TV shows. I hope it will provide some extra publicity for the league and the players involved.

Most importantly, we can create a link so that interested fans can make a tax-deductible online donation to the league.
