Rogier van Zon of Honkbalsite.com reported this week that closer Robin van Doornspeek of the Dutch Hoofdklasse club Konica Minolta Pioniers will miss the rest of the season due to an elbow injury. The 29-year-old right-hander is going to have surgery in July. He hasn’t played this year after experiencing pain during practice. They tried to rehab it and he even got an injection, but a x-rays and a MRT revealed the extend of the injury.
