ORKAS’ pitchers Wilmer Alvarez (W 2-0), Yeremy Ishak and Omar Munoz combined to allow just three hits in a 9-0 shutout against ST. LOUIS. Alvarez started and gave up three singles and two walks, while striking out six. Ishak and Munoz each walked one, while closing out the dominating victory.

Offensive wise the game was already over after two innings, when the ALB led 7-0. Gabriel Montero (3 RBI), Bryon Bell and David Diaz homered. Shortstop David Rivas went three for four with a double, two runs scored and a RBI. Daniel Bittar doubled and scored once, while playing third. Steffan Hoogewerff and Ricky Thomas also appeared in the game.

The ORKAS are now 13-6 (one tie) in 20 games and back in second place in the Liga Paralela standings. They are host to LA GUARIA on Saturday.
