North: Alligators crush Wanderers to stay undefeatedDespite the fact that SOLINGEN played without their dominating 1-2 punch on the mound, Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez and Andre Hughes, the ALLIGATORS had no problems to stay undefeated. The  replacements Robin Drache and Jens Cornelsen pitched solid and the offense delivered in big style.

They produced 27 hits and 25 runs in the doubleheader and got help from eight errors (seven alone in game two) by the WANDERERS defense. Derek Malikian (picture) was the star of the day, reaching nine times, scoring five runs and driving in five. He hit a homerun, a double and four singles. Kai Gronauer, who probably had his last appearance in the Bundesliga before making the move to the Minor Leagues, scored five runs.

DORMTUND actually led the first game twice and also held a 0-0 over the first three innings in the second match. But nevertheless, they had no chance in the long run. Michael Kaber, who had already pitched on Thursday and Matt Kemp lost their starts.
