New coaches for DOOR Neptunus
DOOR Neptunus announced the signings of two new coaches. Wim MARTINUS will be the new third-base-coach. Adonis KEMP is getting first-base-duties. He will be also responsible for the hitting of the team and coaching the outfielders.
MARTINUS played 575 games for Neptunus from 1984 till 2003. In 2003 and 2004 he led the Tridents (First Division Team) to two first place finishes as their Headcoach. One year later he reached the playoffs with Sparta/Feyenoord. In 2007 he was the manager of ADO.
KEMP played 551 games for Neptunus, ADO and Sparta between 1987 and 1995. He won the championship as a manager with the Tridents in 2006. In the 2007 season he was the skipper of Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam and finished in seventh place. His son Dwayne signed recently a pro-contract with the Chicago Cubs organization.
