Lausanne, Switzerland – The teams for the IBAF 16U Baseball World Championship, to be held in Lagos de Moreno, Mexico from August 19th to 28th have been announced.
The 14th edition of the tournament will feature 12 teams representing the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA), The Confederation of Pan American Baseball (COPABE), The Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) and The Baseball Confederation of Oceania (BCO).
The tournament will be split into two pools, with the United States, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Japan, Indonesia and the Netherlands forming Pool A, and Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Chinese Taipei, the Philippines and Australia rounding out pool B.
The Lagos de Moreno Complex will be utilized during the upcoming Guadalajara Pan American Games, with this event forming a part of the test event process for these games. The field is expected to be state of the art, allowing for a great player and fan experience.
