Posted on February 15, 2013 by philipp

The Netherlands continued their exhibition schedule on Thursday when they defeated the Paradise Valley Community College by a score of 8-1. They are now 2-1 in three games preparing for the 2013 World Baseball Classic. Dashenko Ricardo homered and Kalian Sams tripled as the Dutch team handed out ten hits in the blowout at the San Francisco Giants Spring Training complex in Scottsdale, Arizona. Rob Cordemans, Tom Stuifbergen, Jonathan Balentina, Wendell Floranus, Mark Pawelek, Jonatan Isenia and Leon Boyd combined to allow just one run on four hits through nine innings.

Before traveling to Taichung, Taiwan next week, the Dutch team will play three more games in Arizona. Their opponent will be WBC participant China, which is holding training camp at the Peoria Sports Complex, home of the Seattle Mariners.
