SAN MARINO used a four-run second to upset regular season winner FORTIUDO for a second time this weekend, winning by a score of 6-2. Seth La Fera, David Sheldon and Simon Albanese each drove in a run. Dean Rovinelli scored twice. Ryner Bautista had three hits for BOLOGNA.
Tiago Da Silva allowed two runs on seven hits in eight innings to pick up the win. He beat Cody Cillo, who gave up seven hits, five runs (2 ER) and three base on balls in six-plus innings.

GROSSETO closed their series with NETTUNO this weekend with their first win of the playoffs. DANESI took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the sixth on Luis Ugueto RBI double. But different to Friday, MONTEPASCHI had an answer this time. Raul Marval singled in a run in the top of the seventh to tie the game.
One period later, they loaded the bases and Jairo Ramos forced in the go-ahead run with a walk. Marval followed with a RBI single to make it 3-1. NETTUNO rallied in the bottom of the eighth, but brought just one run in on Giuseppe Mazzanti’s RBI single, stranding three.
Chris Cooper (GRO) and Giovanni Carrara (NET) were locked into a pitcher’s duel in first five and a half innings with the outcome of the match decided in the bullpens. Cooper allowed one run on six hits in six innings. Carrara gave up just two hits, facing just one batter over the minimum in six innings. Yovany D’Amico picked up the win, Carlos Pezzullo took the loss.
