Montepaschi Grosseto releases Manager

After an 8-15 start into the 2009 Italian Baseball League season, MONTEPASCHI GROSSETO with new president Roberto Ferri decided to release manager Mario Labastidas on Monday. Paul Minozzi will take over at the helm of the champion of 2007. He also was the interim manager of the team last summer, after they dismissed Mauro Mazzotti midway through the playoffs. Labastidas then was signed during the offseason to take over.
