The reigning Swedish vice champion KARLSKOGA announced their first acquisition for the 2009 season last month. Michael Andersson is leaving SUNDBYBERG HEAT and reinforces the pitching staff of the BATS. The 23-year-old had a 7-4 record with an ERA of 4.00 last year. He struck out 66 batters (30 walks) in 90 innings. He improved his performance on the mound the past few years significantly and should help KARLSKOGA in the upcoming season. Last summer he also made his debut with the Swedish National Team and certainly hopes to make the cut for the Baseball World Cup next September.
