Max Kepler Rozycki on Front Page of MLB.com

Big honor for the 16-year-old German prospect Max Kepler-Rozycki. The outfielder, who was signed by the Minnesota Twins for a record bonus of about $775,000 this summer, got featured on the front page of MLB.com on Thursday morning. The nice article by Kelly Thesier chronicles his first steps in Fort Myers, Florida and even includes a short video clip of his work-outs at the Twins facilities. Check it out.

Around the Majors:
With the Netherlands again impressing the Baseball experts around the globe with their performance at the World Cup in Europe, Jair Jurrjens and Rick van den Hurk are still playing big league ball. Jurrjens (13-10) won his 13th game of the season on Tuesday against the New York Mets, allowing just one run on five hits and three walks in seven innings, lowering his ERA for the year to 2.70. Van den Hurk issued seven hits, four runs and a bb in six innings against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. The Florida Marlins starter received a no-decision, as his team came back and won it on a walk-off single by Brett Carroll. He struck out five and has an ERA of 4.44 for the year.
