Infielder Mattia Campanini leaves TELEMARKET RIMINI and joins DE ANGELIS GODO for the 2009 season. The 2008 seventh-rank finisher signs him on a loan contract from RICCIONE, which still holds the contract rights. The 22-year-old filled in for the injured shortstop Jack Santora with RIMINI last season and batted .176 (OBP .274/SLG .230) with one homerun, a double, nine runs scored and nine RBI in 26 games. This winter Campanini played in the West Australian State Baseball League for West Stirling and hit .250 (OBP .343/SLG .367) with one homerun, four doubles, twelve runs scored and four RBI in 17 games.
