Unipol Bologna have signed the 33-year-old former Major Leaguer Chris Aguila. The Californian was drafted in the third round in 1997 by the Florida Marlins. The outfielder debuted in the big leagues in 2004 and collected a total of 149 MLB games for the Marlins and the New York Mets throughout his career. He batted .230/.280/.343 with three home runs, 26 runs and 16 RBI during that time. In the Minors he batted .275/.342/.444 with 160 home runs in 1,414 games between 1997 and 2012. He was with the Miami Marlins organization last season, going .254/.337/.369 in 84 games for their Triple-A affiliate in New Orleans.
