During his 14-day visit to Israel, funded in part by a U.S. Embassy grant, Major League Baseball’s Global Coordinator for the Envoy Coaches Program, Pat Doyle, visited a number of towns in the periphery to introduce Israeli children to baseball. For most of the young hopefuls from low socio-economic neighborhoods in both Jewish and Arab towns, this was the first exposure to baseball. Pat Doyle also put together an educational program for local coaches from the Israel Association of Baseball.
