According to a report by the English newspaper Evening Standard London mayor Sadiq Khan met with Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred in New York City to discuss holding regular season games at the 2012 Olympic stadium in London in 2018.
MLB recently had announced that they have abandoned plans for July of 2017 as time was running out. However according to the newspaper report MLB is looking to stage a two-game series in 2018 featuring teams from New York and Boston.
London’s mayor afterwards also threw out the first pitch prior to a game between the New York Mets and the Minnesota Twins at Citi Field.
