Dutch reliever Loek van Mil, who was added to the 40-man roster of the Minnesota Twins at the end of last year, is likely not seeing any game action in the Grapefruit League this March. The right-hander underwent another MRI on his shoulder and although first results seem not to indicate a serious injury, he probably isn’t going near a mound anytime soon. He was shut down immediately after throwing one warm-up pitch in the bullpen on Friday.
“It feels kind of silly being here and not being able to pitch, but I still can pick up a lot of stuff here,” he said. “It’s not a waste. I would have loved to actually play here, develop myself on the field.”
