The Russian Eurocup teams MGPU and Tornado Balashikha take 3 out of 4 from Severne Zvezdy and Moskvich respectively. Tornado establishes a fine lead for the moment, however MGPU has a chance to catch up as the two strong Moscow teams are squaring off this week. This will be a good preparation for both teams heading into the Eurocup competitions the week after. Moskvich wasn’t able to manage much against Tornado, but the one victory leaves them with a 4 - 4 record, which they can quickly improve against a weak Patrioty team this week.
It was already the scheduled third game day in the Russian Baseball League. However week two was cancelled completely due to rain.
