The last weekend in Poland has brought a number of answers to the questions regarding the Polish Baseball Extraleague. First and foremost, the rivalry for the Championship title was resolved in Osielsko, where the guest team – MKS Stal BiS Kutno has defeated the home team Dęby Osielsko, 12-1. Before the game, Kutno was already up 2-0 against Dęby Osielsko in the playoff matchup, so the win didn’t really come as a much of a surprise. It is the fourteenth time Kutno has obtained the most important trophy in Polish baseball competitions.
Secondly, after losing the decider (2-1) against Centaury Warszawa, Grabarze Skarbimierz will be relegated to the First Polish Baseball League. Their stint in the Extraleague lasted only for this season, and they have set a rather unimpressive win-loss record 0-28 during the regular season, while winning the only game of the post-season at the beginning of the best-of-three relegation series against Centaury.
It has still not decided who will take the third and the fourth place as the already former Polish National Champions Demony Miejska Górka are tied 2-2 in a matchup against their last year’s play-off final series rival Gepardy Żory.
