Konica Minolta Pioniers signed Herbert TOPPENBERG for the 2008 season. The 18-year-old from Aruba tried to impress scouts from the Seattle Mariners organization in instructional league games in the Dominican Republic. They didn’t have much interest and he reached an agreement with the Pioniers last week. He can play first base and all outfield position.
