CORENDON KINHEIM shut out SPARTA/FEYENOORD 5-0 behind a complete game of national team hurler David Bergman, who allowed just four hits in nine innings, striking out seven. He beat Rob Cordemans, who gave up two runs on eight hits and three walks in eight innings. KINHEIM took the lead with a two-run single by Rene Cremer in the sixth. They added three more runs in the ninth on a two-run double by Rafael Jozefa (scored also twice) and a RBI single by Jason Halman.
With the victory the team from Haarlem now is just one more win away from clinching a playoff spot. SPARTA/FEYENOORD has to win each of the remaining three games and has to hope for three losses by CORENDON to make it. DOOR NEPTUNUS, L&A AMSTERDAM and since Tuesday also KONICA MINOLTA PIONIERS already can look forward to the semi-finals, which start on August 6th.
