Kinheim faces another tough task
KINHEIM, which lost 2-5 against NEPTUNUS on Thursday, faces another challenge on the weekend, when they clash with league leader KONICA MINOLTA. CORENDON was behind early in the make-up against DOOR, due to the wildness of rookie Robin van Eis, who gave up three runs in the first frame on two hit batters and four base on balls. KINHEIM never came back. NEPTUNUS added a pair of insurance runs to secure the win in the fourth and sixth. CORENDON avoided the shutout, by scoring in the fifth and ninth. Leon Boyd collected the victory.
On Saturday KINHEIM hosts the PIONIERS with Patrick Beljaards (4-0) going against Miguel Santander (4-1). On Sunday the series continues in Hoofdorp with Roger Kops (PIO, 3-0) facing David Bergman (KIN, 3-0). CORENDON already dropped to third in the standings and could lose further ground, as NEPTUNUS plays against 1-11 ADO.
