The official announcement wasn’t made yet, but according to Baseball.it Kelly Ramos will return to Grosseto for the 2010 campaign in the Italian Baseball League. The Dominican catcher is the second foreign player besides starting pitcher Juan Figueroa, which will be confirmed by Montepaschi. The third open spot could go to a corner infielder in case Luca Bischeri doesn’t return. If he comes back an outfielder or another pitcher could come from outside the European Union. Ramos came first to Italy in 2005, when he joined Fortitudo Bologna. In 2007 he joined Grosseto and helped winning the championship. After the 2008 season in which he batted .306 (OBP .373/SLG .438) with 18 runs and 19 RBI, he was let go by the Orioles.
