Karlovac Kelteks continue to domintate Croatian Baseball League
The Karlovac Kelteks (16-2) continue to lead the Croatian Baseball League as the regular season winds down in Croatia. Karlovac only two setbacks have been an 8-5 loss to Zagreb and a 8-4 defeat at the hands of Vindija Varazdin.
The Kelteks are led by Jason POSPISHIL who is hitting .453 and teammates Damir KARIN (.395) and Dario LATKOVIC (.349). The pitching staff is anchored by Mario ZDELAR (1.91), Slobodan GALES (2.09), and Gary TONGUE (1.78).
Zagreb (10-8) has a strong grasp on second place and is led by top hitters Matija GROFELNIK (.368), Dario CUSAK (.350), Marko PAVLAKOVIC (.339), and Romeil AGLADIOUS (.332). Ace hurler Dejan MARIN (1.94) along with James Summers fortify the pitching rotation.
Vindija is only 6-12 but boasts an array of talented players including Oliver KNOLMAJER, Bogdan ARNEZ, Carlos TOVAR, and Tibor VITEZ.
Sweet-swinging Sergije VUJOVIC and pitchers Dinko BOKSIC and Matt DABO pace Nada SSM who have lost 10-of-14 games.
