Infielder Jurickson Profar of the Texas Rangers, who played for the Netherlands in the 2013 World Baseball Classic, is going to miss 10 to 12 weeks with a slight muscle tear in his right shoulder (throwing shoulder). He doesn’t require surgery. He suffered the tear during a Cactus League game on Saturday against the Kansas City Royals. Earlier this spring, Profar already was shut down with shoulder problems. He was supposed to start the season as Texas’ new second baseman. The Rangers traded Ian Kinsler to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for Prince Fielder to make room.
