Shortly before the start of the season in the Italian Baseball League, Novara Baseball has to make a roster change. American infielder Joe Wittig got injured playing in Australia. Therefore they are bringing in Jose Gregorio Garcia as new infielder. The 27-year-old Venezuelan played with the St. Louis Cardinals organization in the past, where he also made 34 appearances in Triple-A. He most recently played in the Nicaraguan Winter League. He can play all positions in the infield.
