Johnny Balentina on Netherlands Antillean Roster for South American Games

The 38-year-old Johnny Balentina, who played for Parma last season, was named to the 35-man preliminary roster of the Netherlands Antilles for the South American Games. The multi-sport tournament will be held in Medellin, Colombia from March 10 to 21. Baseball was part of the program in four of the eight editions of the Games so far, the last time in 1994. Other players on the roster of manager Raymond Gurp are Quincy Ascencion, Raynard Doran, Ardley Jansen, Lorvin Louisa, Ulrich Snijders Simon Pantophlet, Mayron Wijman, Didi Gregorius, Andley Simmons and Johannes Gregorius Jr. according to report on Honkbalsite.com.
