Jim Sasko new manager of Swedish National Team

Posted on March 22, 2017March 21, 2017 by philipp

The Swedish Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSF) has appointed a new head coach for the Swedish senior national team. Jim Sasko is succeeding Rickard Reimer at the helm, who kept Sweden in the A-Pool for European Championships. Sasko already coached with the Swedish national team in the past and is currently working with Sundbyberg Heat in the Swedish Elitserien. The federation also asked him to develop a strategy to identify and develop Swedish baseball talent.

Even though Sweden is currently not competing in U15 European Championships the federation also changed the coaching staff for the U15 national team from Oskar Vejkdal Thorsberg to Olle Öijen of the Karlskoga Bats. The Swedish national team continues to be coached by Mattias Grimsoft, the U18 baseball national team by Björn Johannessen. The federation looks for a coach to take over the U19 softball national team.
