The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) revealed this week that former big leaguers Jair Jurrjens and Wladimir Balentien will reinforce the Netherlands during the upcoming 2017 World Baseball Classic. They are the next players to be confirmed on the Dutch roster after Andrelton Simmons, Didi Gregorius, Jonathan Schoop, Xander Bogaerts, Rick van den Hurk and Jurickson Profar. Balentien has been playing in Japan in the past few seasons, Jurrjens was in Taiwan in 2016.
