Jair Jurrjens was out-dueled by Kip Wells on Saturday and suffered his tenth loss of the season. His ERA climbed a few points to a still stellar 2.93 after allowing four hits, three runs and three bb in seven innings. Only one frame hurt the right-hander of the Braves. Joey Votto connected off him in the sixth for a two-run homerun, putting Cincinnati up in front. A few moments later Scott Rolen added an insurance run with a RBI single. Atlanta only was able to bring one run over the plate, as Nate McLouth drove in Omar Infante with a single in the seventh. They had the tying run on the plate in the ninth, but lost 1-3 in the end. Jurrjens struck out four batters, while throwing 60 of his 91 pitches for strikes.
