Italian Softball: Bollate is moving towards the top
AMGA Legnano defended first place in the standings of the Italian Softball League the past two weeks. They split the series versus the Hornets on May 24 and swept the doubleheader in Nuoro last weekend. They now have a two-game lead against runner up Fiorini Forli. They passed Europromo, by winning three out of their last four matches. The surprising strong squad from San Marino lost ground in the standings the past few weeks and are now ranked third. Bollate, which had won the regular season last year, is recovering after a disappointing start into the season and moved into a tie for fourth place, bringing their record back to .500 for the first time in 2008. Six game days still have to be played this season.
