According to a report by Baseball.it, the two Italian Baseball League clubs Telemarket Rimini and Danesi Nettuno got informed by the Secretary General of the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) Marcello Standoli that Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez has been suspended until a federal prosecutor makes a decision in this case.
Apparently both clubs have submitted paperwork to the FIBS with a signature by Marquez-Ramirez. A few weeks ago Nettuno had claimed that they had an agreement in place with the left-handed pitcher of the German national team since April 2009, while Rimini doesn’t think this contract is valid for the 2010 season.
An announcement of the ruling is expected in a couple of days.
