Italian Baseball League starts tonight
The Italian Baseball Leagues starts their new season tonight with two games. Live on RAI Sport Satellite the 2007 champion MONTEPASCHI GROSSETO faces the promoted RANGERS REDIPUGLIA. A half hour before the official opener CARIPARMA hosts TELEMARKET RIMINI in the second game this Thursday. The other four clubs. FORTITUDO BOLOGNA, D’ANGELIS GODO, T&A SAN MARINO and DANESI NETTUNO follow on Friday to open the three-game-series.
All clubs strengthened their rosters with a bunch of former major or minor leaguer, for example Frank Menecchino and Nelson Cruz (both Nettuno). In addition stars like Giovanni Carrara (Nettuno) and Jesus Matos (Bologna) are back. They will all try to stop GROSSETO from defending their title from last season. But they also bring back a great team for their 2008 campaign.
