Posted on December 10, 2009 by philipp

The past few days we got news on two international Baseball tournaments. This morning “The China Post” reports that the Taiwan will bid for the 2010 Intercontinental Cup. According to the article the tournament would take place from October 23rd to October 31st. The first Intercontinental Cup was played in 1973 in Italy and was held annually around the world until 1999. Since then it was only organized in 2002 and 2006.

This summer in Prince George, British Colombia the World Baseball Challenge took place with Team USA beating Germany in the finals for the title. The organizers now have announced that the tournament will return in July 2011 with the Toronto Blue Jays being a major sponsor.
