Iceland seeks to become Member of CEB

On Friday it was announced through www.baseballeurope.com that Sigridur Saeunn Sigurdardottir and Eric Myer of the Reykjavik Baseball & Softball Club got named Iceland Players of the Year 2009. The “Trolls” were the first official Baseball club, which got founded in Iceland in November 2008. In the latest edition of the CEB Newsletter (PDF-file), there is news that Iceland seeks to become a member of the CEB, maybe as early as at the Congress in Stuttgart, Germany next March. They would be the 40th country in the Confederation of European Baseball.
