Cariparma Parma – T&A San Marino 2-14

On the field SAN MARINO used an eleven-run rally in the fifth to beat PARMA 14-2. But the home team filed a protest. During the big inning, the pitching coach of CARIPARMA spoke to his pitcher Mattia Salsi and the home plate umpire decided that this was one visit to many, which led to the removal from Salsi. PARMA didn’t agree with this ruling and after an hour-long discussion the game resumed under protest. A ruling by the FIBS should come today. SAN MARINO was led by two homeruns by Carlos Duran (4 RBI) and one by Max De Biase. Seth La Fera drove in four. Luca Martignoni received the win after allowing four hits, two unearned runs and three bb in six innings. Roberto Corradini surrendered five hits, six runs and three walks in 4 1/3 innings for the loss.
