The Vaessen Pioniers completed a three-game sweep over L&D Amsterdam with a 10-4 win on Sunday afternoon. The Pioniers took a 5-4 lead on Dé Flanegin’s RBI double in the eighth and blew the score open with five runs in the ninth. Kevin Dirksen hit a home run for Hoofddorp. Percy Isenia drove in two for Amsterdam.
Corendon Kinheim downed Mampaey The Hawks 3-2 on Sunday. The Hawks erased a 0-2 deficit on Berry van Donselaar’s two-run home run in the top of the eighth. But Jeffrey Arends’ sac fly in the bottom half of the same frame got Kinheim back on top. David Bergman struck out ten in seven scoreless innings. Pim Walsma received the win despite blowing the save in the eighth. Elton Koeiman took the loss.
The games between DOOR Neptunus and Mr. Cocker HCAW as well as UVV and the ADO Lakers were rained out and will be re-scheduled.
