After Thursday night games in Hoofdklasse, Corendon Kinheim and DOOR Neptunus are sure of home field advantage in the playoffs of the Netherlands major league. Both clubs defeated their opponents this evening and the number three in the standings since yesterday, Konica Minolta Pioniers, lost their road game versus L&D Amsterdam. The latter re-conquered the third spot in the Hoofdklasse, but second spot in the ranking is out of reach for Amsterdam and Pioniers.
Whilst short season countries in Europe play a new tournament for four clubs in Barcelona this weekend, regular season continues with official games in the Netherlands. Tomorrow the Pioniers will meet ADO in The Hague and on Saturday and Sunday Pioniers will play a home game and a road game versus Neptunus. This club can reach first place, providing that European champion club Kinheim fails in two games versus Sparta/Feyenoord. Amsterdam can conserve its position by beating Mr. Cocker HCAW twice.
